Description

Bradley Lock is a lock on the Sankey Canal, dating from around 1756. It is constructed of stone, with the retaining walls remaining intact. The lock gates are present only at the west end, and there are some fairleads on the sides of the lock. To the west of the lock, the canal has been filled in. This lock is noted as the best preserved on the Sankey Canal.
