Description

Two houses, dating from the 17th century with extensions built in the mid-18th century and some alterations in the mid-20th century. The houses have a timber frame with rendered infill, set on a painted rubble plinth. The exterior walls are finished with painted and rendered coursed rubble, and the roof is thatched. A central axial stack serves the chimney. The houses are one storey high with an attic, lit by two gabled dormers, each with two single-light casement windows. The ground floor has five casement windows, mostly with two lights. The entrance to the right-hand side of the houses has a door with six raised and fielded panels. The other entrance, to the left of centre, has a ledged and boarded door with a wooden architrave, framed by two square panels. The right-hand gable truss features two struts to the collar. Inside, the ceilings have chamfered spine beams with run-out stops.
