Description
A row of three houses, likely dating from the late 18th century and subsequently altered. Numbers 22 and 24 are rendered and painted white, while number 20 is brick. All have slate roofs and brick chimneys. The houses have a long, single-depth plan, with two bays each, and a small porch to number 22, along with some rear extensions.
Number 20 has three, four and three-light casement windows with wide segmental heads, a similar two-light window in the right-hand gable, a 20th-century glazed porch attached to the rear corner, and a small chimney behind the ridge. Number 22 has a small porch with a carried-down roof, containing a doorway on the left side and a small square window in the front. It also features three large rectangular 20th-century mullion-and-transom windows and a small ridge chimney in line with the porch. Number 24 has a square-headed doorway protected by a small metal-framed porch, a small oblong window to the right of the door, and two square two-light casements further to the right, all featuring glazing bars. It has a gable chimney. The interior was not inspected. The group value is enhanced by its association with number 16 to the right and numbers 26 and 28 to the left.
