Description
This is a house located at 22 St Cuthbert's Road in Southport, likely built in the late 17th century or early 18th century, with some alterations. The house features white painted brick and a straw-thatched roof. It has a single-depth plan, probably consisting of two bays, along with a small set-back wing at the left end.
The exterior is a single storey with a four-window range. The doorway is situated between the first and second windows and is sheltered by a small 20th-century part-glazed porch with a flat roof. All the windows are two-light sliding sashes, each with four panes per leaf. There is a thatch-trapping gable on the right side and a small square chimney on the left gable. The low set-back wing at the left end extends around to the rear, forming an outshut to the first bay, which includes one three-light sliding sash window. The rear of the main range has two windows with altered glazing. The interior has not been inspected.
