Description

The Haven is a house located on Shellfield Road in Southport, likely built in the late 18th century and altered over time. It features cream painted render, which is probably applied to brick, and has a slate roof with a rendered chimney. The house has a single-depth, two-unit plan with a small 20th-century addition at the rear.

The exterior is a single storey with a three-window range. The windows are casements, arranged in groups of two, two, and three lights, with the second and third being segmental-headed. There is a gable chimney on the right side and a doorway located in the right-hand return.

Although the interior has not been inspected, the house is part of a group of similar houses on the road, all of which have been altered but still represent the pre-industrial character of the area.
