Description

72 and 74 Shellfield Road are a pair of houses, likely built in the early 19th century and remodeled in the early 20th century. They feature roughcast render, probably over brick, with a slate roof and brick chimneys. The houses are single-storey with a long single-depth plan, each having three windows plus three more, including two canted bays. There is a ridge chimney stack. The interior has not been inspected. These houses are part of a group of similar homes on Shellfield Road, which have all been altered in various ways but still represent the pre-industrial character of the area.
