Description
No. 87 Sandown Road is a lodge built in the mid-19th century. It features a stucco exterior and a hipped slate roof. The building is one storey high and has three bays. It has a top frieze, cornice, and blocking course. The central bay is canted and includes windows with architraves, friezes, and consoled segmental pediments. The end bays have round-headed recesses with sills, impost courses, and archivolts, with decorative wreaths above; the right end bay has an inserted window. All windows are casements. The returns also have three bays, with the central bay projecting forward and a window similar to the front. The left return features a 20th-century canopy covering the entire facade and an entrance located in the end bay.
