Description
No. 2 Burley Hill Drive is a lodge, now functioning as a house, built in the mid-19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared gritstone and features a stone slate roof. The building is one storey high with an attic and consists of two bays, designed in the Tudor style. The steeply pitched stone roof has gabled ends and is adorned with large, ornately carved barge-boards that include octagonal pendants and wide eaves. There is a gabled porch with similar barge-boards, and the entrance features a four-centred arched doorway with a dripmould and a shield in a panel above. The windows have chamfered reveals and dripmoulds, and there are octagonal stone chimney shafts. The interior has not been inspected.
