Description

A pair of houses built between 1836 and 1846. The houses are brick built with stone dressings and have a slate roof. They are three storeys high, with a basement that was blocked in 1984, and have two bays each. Architectural details include a lintel band at basement level, a sill band on the first floor, a top frieze, and a cornice. The windows have wedge lintels and are sash windows with glazing bars. The entrances are round-headed, with Doric doorcases and four-panel doors; number 49 retains a complete fanlight above its entrance.
