SD41SE MOSS LANE 663-1/3/26 (East side) Barn approx. 5m N of Hurst Cottage

Barn, now store. Early C19. Red brick in English garden wall bond (5+1), slate roof. L-plan formed by 2-bay range on east-west axis with one-bay wing to south side of 2nd bay. The 1st bay has a tall segmental-headed waggon doorway with a keystone and stone hinge-anchors, and the west gable wall has a 3-light window (either inserted or restored); the wing has diamond-pattern breathers, a segmental-headed loading doorway in the gable wall, and 3 doorways in the rear wall with stone lintels. The INTERIOR has a bolted kingpost roof truss.
