Description

RUFFORD CHURCH ROAD SD 41 NE 7/8 Nos. 2 and 4 - - II Pair of cottages. c.1800. White painted render, low-pitched hipped slate roof with projecting eaves. Square 2-bay plan, each cottage one bay, with porches to the sides. Two storeys; 2 windows on each floor, all of 2 arched lights with geometrical leaded glazing; lean-to porches; 2 square chimneys on the ridge. Interior not inspected, but when first surveyed No.2 had a small hob-grate at 1st floor.
