Description

Nos. 7 and 8 Woolston Road are a pair of cottages dating from the early 19th century. They are constructed from local lias stone that has been cut and squared, topped with a plain clay tile roof featuring coped gables. The cottages have brick chimney stacks at both ends and in the middle. Each cottage is two storeys high and has two bays. The windows are 12-pane sash windows with the boxes set nearly flush, and they are topped with voussoired flat arches. Between the bays, there are pairs of three-flush-panel doors set in semi-circular arched doorways, which are adorned with radially glazed fanlights. A lean-to extension is present at the rear. The interiors have not been seen. These cottages are included in the listing primarily for their group and streetscape value.
