Description

Nos. 5 and 6 Bridge Terrace are a pair of attached cottages, likely built in the late 18th century or early 19th century, with some alterations made in the late 20th century. They are constructed from local stone rubble and feature a gabled thatched roof, with a central stone rubble axial stack that has a tapered top and slate weathering. The cottages have a single-depth plan, with each unit heated by back-to-back fireplaces in the axial stack and services located at the rear.

The exterior is two storeys high and has a symmetrical four-window range. The windows are modern two-light casements with horizontal glazing bars, wooden lintels, and concrete sills. There are doorways at both ends of the front, each fitted with a late 20th-century glazed door. The rear wall is mostly blind, with only a door leading to No. 6, and the ground behind is at a higher level. The interior has not been inspected.
