Description

This is a row of four cottages built around 1800. They are constructed of watershot coursed sandstone with a stone slate roof. The roofline features three chimneys running along the ridge and one at the left gable. The cottages have a shallow double-depth plan, with each cottage originally having only one bay. Each cottage is two storeys high, and has a doorway with a plain surround on the right side. Ground floor windows are stepped, triple-light in design, and the upper floor has two square windows. Originally, the cottages had a bank of earth against the rear, but the rear wall, now built of random rubble, includes one square window on each floor of each cottage.
