Description

Bridge End Farmhouse, which has been renovated and is now a house, dates from the late 18th century and features an attached barn to the left. The building is constructed from watershot coursed sandstone with quoins and has a stone slate roof on two levels, with a chimney located at the left gable of the house. The farmhouse has a double depth, two-bay plan, while the barn has three bays, with the first and second bays projecting.

The structure stands two storeys high. Off-centre to the left is a rebuilt gabled porch that protects an old board door with a wooden lintel. At the right end, there is a board door with a plain surround, above which is a gabled-shaped slab canopy. The ground floor features two large casement windows, one on the right with a stepped head, while the first floor has four stepped triple-light windows. The rear wall has a similar window on the ground floor and four additional windows.

The barn continues to the left with a roof at a lower level and includes a segmental-arched porch for the wagon entrance in the projecting centre bay, along with a plain doorway at the left end. The rear of the barn matches the front, except for an added outshut to the third bay.
