Description

A row of cottages dating from the later 18th century, located on Southfield Lane in Nelson. The cottages are constructed of stone with quoins and have a stone slate roof. Numbers 5, 6, and 7 are three storeys high, while number 4 has only two storeys. The rear of the second floor, which abuts Weaves Cottages, has five three-light windows. The first floor has four two-light windows and one single-light opening, which has been altered. The ground floor features two three-light windows and two single-light windows; one of the single-light windows is a former door that has been altered. All window surrounds and mullions are made of stone with a square section.
