Description
Southfield Methodist Church and the barn at Southfield House is an 18th-century barn constructed from rubble with a stone slate roof. It features a central segmental arched entrance that has a keystone inscribed with "W&E/Sagan/1797." On the ground floor, there are four windows, with the two on the left being of 2-lights. The first floor is adorned with five Venetian windows, along with a smaller window above the entrance. A plaque to the right indicates that John Wesley preached here on April 18, 1786. The right-hand portion of the barn was converted into a Methodist Chapel around the year 1800.
