Description

Cold Weather House Farmhouse is a house from the mid to late 17th century, although a date of 1533 is inscribed on the porch, which is likely incorrect. The building is constructed of rubble with quoins and features a stone slate roof. It has two storeys and consists of three cells, along with a two-storey porch. The porch has a moulded door with returned drip labels, and above it is a date stone and a two-light stone mullioned window with drip labels. There is a single-light stone mullion window with a drip stone in the left-hand return of the porch, which retains its original lattice lead glazing.

On the ground floor of the main building, there are three four-light stone mullion windows, all featuring returned drip labels. The upper floor has three three-light windows and one two-light window. Inside the porch, there are double stone chamfered doorways. The roof features stone coping and kneelers, and there are several later chimney stacks. The roofs are supported by king post structures.
