Description
Windy Pike Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of slobbered rubble, featuring a main roof covered with modern tiles and a porch roof made of blue slates. The building has two storeys, with a two-storey gabled porch. There are two bays to the left of the porch and one bay to the right.
On the left side of the porch, the windows have square mullions; the left-hand bay contains a two-light window, while the right-hand bay has a four-light window on the first floor and a similar window below, although its central mullion is missing. To the right of the porch, the windows are mullioned with an outer rebate and inner cyma moulding. The ground floor features a window that was originally four lights but now has a missing central mullion, and to its right is a window with a rebated and cyma-moulded head and plain reveals. Both of these windows are topped with a straight drip moulding. The first-floor window in this section has three lights. The first-floor porch window is similar to those on the right and consists of three stepped lights with a hood. The door has a moulded surround and a shaped lintel, with a hood that meets a moulded string course. A chimney is located between the first and second bays. The interior of the ground floor does not have any exposed features of architectural interest.
