Description
Keepers Cottages is a pair of houses from the mid-18th century, constructed of rubble with roofs made of slate and stone slate. The buildings consist of two one-bay pavilions, each two storeys high, connected by a recessed linking wall. Each pavilion features a gable designed as an open pediment with mutules and has a continuous string course. The windows in the pavilions are sashed with glazing bars, plain reveals, and semi-circular heads. The central linking section is now two storeys tall, rendered, and has modern windows. The ground floor windows, located behind a modern conservatory, appear to have original surrounds with keystones, while the upper storey is likely an addition. The chimneys are located on the outer side walls of the pavilions.
