Description
Wycongill Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of rendered rubble with sandstone dressings and has a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys. The windows are mullioned, featuring an outer chamfer and an inner hollow chamfer. On each side of the ground floor porch, there are 6-light windows with hoods, while the first floor has 5-light windows on each side. The first floor of the porch extends out and includes a 4-light window. The entrance door is framed with a moulded surround and has a Tudor-arched head. The gables have copings, and there is a chimney to the right of the door, along with a projecting stack on the left-hand gable. Inside, the left-hand room features a wide chamfered fireplace with a segmental head, as well as common ceiling joists that have chamfers, stops, and scribed mouldings.
