Description

Chadwick’s Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is built of squared coursed sandstone with a stone slate roof and has end stacks. The house follows a double-pile plan, arranged with two main bays. The windows are tripartite, meaning they are divided into three parts, and have plain stone surrounds and square mullions. Ground floor windows are sash windows with glazing bars, while first-floor windows are sashed but without glazing bars. The front door has a plain stone surround topped with a moulded pediment supported by console brackets. Decorative stone corbels are located at the ends of the stone gutter.
