Description
10 and 12 Main Street are a pair of houses built in the late 19th century. They are constructed from slobbered watershot rubble and feature a stone slate roof. The buildings are two storeys high. No. 10 has two bays with modern windows that have plain stone surrounds. The door, located between the bays, also has a plain stone surround. No. 12 has one bay to the right of the door, which contains two-light windows with glazing bars, plain stone surrounds, and square mullions. To the left of the door on No. 12 is a straight joint, and beyond it is a former agricultural building, likely dating from the early to mid-19th century, which is now part of the house. On the ground floor, there are two doors, now glazed, with punched stone surrounds; the left-hand door is wider. On the first floor, there is a window with plain reveals. There are chimneys located between Nos. 10 and 12, between the bays of No. 10, and to the right of No. 10. The buildings are listed for their group value.
