Description
Fernside is an early 18th-century house located on Hellifield Road in Bolton-by-Bowland. It is constructed from watershot rubble with a stone slate roof. The house is two storeys high and has two bays. The windows are mullioned, rebated, and chamfered, showing tooling marks, with glazing bars. The ground floor on the left has a three-light window. To its right is a former doorway with a shallow chamfered stone surround, now partially blocked to create a window. The first floor has a three-light window on the left and a two-light window on the right. A door with a surround of sawn stone is situated at the far right. A chimney is positioned between the bays.
