Description
Greenfield Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century, constructed of slobbered rubble with a slate roof. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring two bays. The windows are rebated and chamfered. On the left side of the ground floor, there is a long window with two remaining mullions, while above it is a window that originally had two lights but now has the mullion removed. To the right on the first floor, there is a three-light mullioned window. The surround of the ground floor window has been reconstructed. The door, located between the bays, has a chamfered surround. There is a chimney on the left-hand gable, supported by stone corbels, and another chimney on the right. A modern addition is present a bay further to the right, designed to be in keeping with the original structure. The left-hand gable wall, which continues the facade of Greenfield Cottage facing south, has two one-light attic windows and a one-light ground-floor window, all of 17th-century style. Inside, the left-hand room features two chamfered main ceiling joists, one with pyramid stops. In the attic, there are two trusses with curved principals.
