Description
Caton Hall is a house built in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from sandstone rubble and topped with a slate roof. The building has a very deep plan and features an M-shaped roof. It stands two storeys high with an attic. The north facade has three bays, characterized by projecting quoins and sash windows with glazing bars, all framed by plain stone surrounds. The gables are adorned with copings and kneelers, and there are chimneys at both ends of the ridges. The west wall includes an attic window beneath each gable, featuring plain stone surrounds, a semi-circular head with a keystone, and sash windows with intersecting glazing bars. On the east side, there is a bay that contains two sashed stair windows with glazing bars and plain stone surrounds, positioned above a door that also has a plain stone surround and a Tuscan porch.
