Description
Merrybent Hill is a house, possibly dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of slobbered rubble and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys and two bays. The windows are rebated and chamfered, each with three lights and mullions. A central one-storey gabled porch has a plain stone door surround, with '1688 AV' roughly carved on the lintel. There are chimneys positioned to the right of the porch and to the left of the first bay. On the far left, there is a unit that now includes a modern garage entrance on the ground floor and a modern copy of a three-light mullioned window on the first floor. The rear of the house has an outshut, which features windows with plain reveals.
