Description

Black House Farmhouse is a house from the early to mid-19th century. It is built of squared watershot sandstone and has a stone slate roof. The house has a double-pile plan with end stacks and stands two storeys high with three bays. It features projecting furrowed quoins, and the windows and door have plain stone surrounds. The windows are sashed with glazing bars. Above the door, there is an illegible datestone framed by a plain stone surround. The eaves project at the gables, supported by shaped purlins. At the rear, there are sashed windows with plain stone surrounds.
