Description

Lower Edge Farmhouse is a house from the late 18th century, constructed from slobbered rubble and topped with a stone slate roof. It features a central-entry double-pile plan with end stacks, standing two storeys high and comprising two bays. The windows are framed with plain stone surrounds and consist of three lights with square stone mullions. The entrance includes a plank door with a plain stone surround, leading to an open stone porch that has a sloping slate roof. Inside, the farmhouse showcases exposed hardwood axial beams and common joists, along with plank doors. The staircase has square newels, but lacks any remaining balusters.
