Description
Nos. 20, 22, and 24 Chapel Street are houses that form part of a row built in 1811. They are constructed from squared sandstone and feature a slate roof, rising to three storeys. The windows and doors are framed with plain stone surrounds, and the doors have raised and fielded panels.
No. 24, located on the left, consists of one bay with its door positioned to the right. The ground and first-floor windows are sashed with glazing bars, while the attic features a 6-pane sash window. There is a chimney on the left-hand gable.
No. 22 has its door on the left and a wide entrance with a segmental head to the right. Above the door is a fixed window with glazing bars, and above the wide entrance is a sashed window with glazing bars. The attic also has a 6-pane sash window. A worn plaque above the wide entrance reads 'WT 1811', and there is a chimney to the right.
No. 20, on the right, is also one bay with its door to the right. It has 6-pane sashes and a chimney on each side.
