4/51 Gisburn Cotes Hall 16-11-1954 - II

House, 1659 on door lintel. Slobbered rubble with slate roof. 2 storeys with central 2-storey gabled porch. Facade has plinth, and the remains of a continuous drip course at eaves level returning on each gable wall. On each side of the porch, on both floors, is a sashed window with glazing bars and plain stone surround. To the left of the right-hand windows is a stair window with plain stone surround, glazing bars, and a central stone mullion. On the 1st floor of the porch is a 5-light double-chamfered mullioned window. The door has a chamfered surround. The gables, including that to the porch, have copings with kneelers. End chimneys. The right- hand (east) gable has a projecting stack with offsets. To its left is a double-chamfered window with its central mullion removed. The left-hand gable has a sashed window with glazing bars and plain stone surround. At the rear is a wing of c.1800 having windows with plain stone surrounds and square mullions in its west wall: 3 lights on the ground floor and 2 lights on the 1st floor.
