Description

The packhorse bridge over Catlow Brook, now serving as a footbridge, is possibly from the 17th century and has been altered. It is constructed of sandstone and features a small semicircular arch made with dry jointed voussoirs. The walls are built from random rubble and have been raised to create parapets, which are topped with battlemented coping. There are remnants of stone paving on what was once a humped deck. This structure crosses the boundary with the Borough of Nelson.
