Description

This milestone, dating from the mid 19th century, is made of sandstone and has a triangular shape with a sloping top. The front is inscribed with the name 'CANTSFIELD.' The left side displays the distances to Hornby (5 miles) and Lancaster (14 miles), while the right side indicates the distance to Ingleton (4 miles).
