Description
This mid-19th century milestone is made of sandstone and has a triangular shape with a sloping top. The top is inscribed with the word 'CANTSFIELD.' The left side of the milestone has the inscriptions 'TO HORNBY 4 MILES. LANCASTER 13 MILES.' The right side is inscribed with 'TO INGLETON 5 MILES.'
