Description
Rose Cottage is a house from the mid-18th century that has been altered over time. It is constructed of sandstone rubble and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high, with the main part of the facade featuring two bays. The windows in the facade have plain stone surrounds; the left bay originally had three lights, while the right bay had two lights, but the flat-faced mullions have been removed. The door, located between the bays, has a stone surround with moulded imposts. To the left of the main facade are two additional bays that contain sashed windows with glazing bars and plain reveals, except for the left-hand ground-floor window, which has a plain stone surround. There are chimneys on the gables and to the left of the main part of the facade.
