Description

This boundary stone dates from the 19th century and consists of an upright flagstone with a rounded top. The upper part of the face is divided by a vertical line. On the left side, it is inscribed with "WEST RIDING YORKSHIRE," and on the right side, it reads "LANCASHIRE." Below these inscriptions, it states "LANCASTER & RICHMOND ROAD. BURTON." Part of this boundary stone is located in Burton in Lonsdale civil parish in North Yorkshire.
