Description
The Old Wennington is a house, likely dating from the early 18th century, and currently unoccupied and derelict. It is constructed from sandstone rubble, with a roof of slate and corrugated sheets. The house is two stories high and has two bays. The windows have rebated and chamfered surrounds. The window on the ground floor to the left has three lights with mullions. The other windows, originally with two lights, have lost their mullions. A door between the bays has long-and-short jambs. Inside, there is one roof truss with a tie beam, and a cellar. Part of a cruck blade has been reused as a ground-floor ceiling beam.
