Description

Top Cottage is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is built of watershot sandstone and has a tile roof. The building is two storeys high and features two bays. The windows have plain stone surrounds and consist of two lights with flat-faced mullions on the ground floor, while the first-floor windows have had their mullions removed. The door, located between the bays, also has a plain stone surround. There are gable chimneys on the roof. Inside, the right-hand room contains a covered shouldered stone fireplace. The cottage is marked as 'Bela Vista' on the Ordnance Survey 1:2500 map.
