Description
Higher Broomfield Farmhouse is a house built in the late 18th century. It is constructed from watershot sandstone and features a slate roof. The building has a double-depth plan with chimneys at each end. It stands two storeys high and has two bays, characterized by stepped triple-light windows with flat-faced mullions. The door, located between the bays, has a plain stone surround. At the rear of the house, there are some re-used rebated and chamfered window surrounds. Inside, the left-hand (southern) room contains a shouldered fireplace.
