Description

Milestone from the mid-19th century, made of sandstone. It has a triangular shape with a sloping top that is inscribed with the word 'ARKHOLME'. The left side has the inscription 'Ky LONSDALE 4½ MILES', while the right side reads 'CARNFORTH 6½ MILES LANCASTER 11 MILES'.
