Description

Rose Cottage and Glen Cross are a house, dating from 1690, with alterations made in 1868. Glen Cross was likely added in the 19th century. The house is built of "slobbered" rubble and has a slate roof. Rose Cottage has three bays with six-pane sash windows, except for the ground floor window on the left, which has four panes. The ground floor windows have plain stone surrounds, while the first-floor windows have rebated and chamfered surrounds. The central bay features a door with a chamfered surround, a battlemented lintel, and a hood with head stops. The lintel is inscribed "REP 1868 IBI 1690." There are end chimneys. Glen Cross, to the right, has one bay with sashed windows with plain reveals. The left-hand door also has plain reveals, and a gable chimney is located on the right-hand side.
