Description

Hook Farm Cottage is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of hammer-dressed watershot stone and features a graduated stone slate roof. The cottage has two bays and is two stories tall, with a lean-to porch on the left gable. The first bay has four and five-light recessed chamfered stone mullion windows. The second bay was extended forward in the late 18th century and includes a doorway with a square-cut surround to the right, a blocked taking-in door on the first floor, and a three-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion window on the first floor, which is missing one mullion. There is a gable chimney stack. The cottage is included for its group value.
