Description

Moorlands Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of hammer-dressed watershot stone and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building has a double-depth central-entrance plan and stands two storeys tall. The main entrance door is obscured by a later porch. There are three 4-light mullion windows, although each window is missing two of its mullions. The chimney stacks have been rebuilt in brick. At the rear, there are 10 and 12-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion windows, which include king mullions; the 12-light window has two blocked lights.
