Description
Lock Keeper's Cottage is located at the top lock of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The cottage is constructed from dressed stone and features a slate roof. It is two storeys high and has two bays, with a lean-to extension on the right side. The windows have plain surrounds and are fitted with 20th-century paired sashes. The entrance also has a plain surround and a 20th-century door. There are gable-end stacks, and the extension includes a window and an entrance. The property is complemented by a front garden wall with coping.
