Stop Lock Keeper's Cottage

Lock-keeper's cottage, early C19. Whitewashed brick; graded grey slate roof. 2 storeys, 2 rooms, symmetrical. Boarded door with blocked semi-circular fanlight; two 16-pane casements to lower storey; two 12-pane casements to upper storey have cambered arches and projecting 1-course stone cills; rectangular blank recess above doorway; 2-courses of corbelled brickwork at verges; flush gable chimneys of blue brick. l-storey outshut against left gable-end, of brick with slate roof, has boarded door. Interior could not be inspected.
