Description
Holly Bank is a house built around 1830, located on Haigh Wigan Road. It is constructed of stucco and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays, with the central bay projecting forward under a gable. It has a stone base, wide eaves, and gables. The windows are notable for their 4-light mullioned glazing, which includes cusped reticulated tracery heads, possibly made of iron. The entrance features a similar 3-light overlight above a 6-panel door, which is obscured by a 20th-century glazed porch. There are brick stacks at the gable ends. Holly Bank was built for the Haigh Hall estate.
