Description
The barn located to the south-west of Daisy Nook Farmhouse dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed of English garden wall bond brick, featuring stone dressings and a graduated stone slate roof. The barn has opposed cart entries, with a former shippon to the left. It consists of three bays, with the first bay projecting as an outshut. There is a stone plinth and quoins, while the cart entries are topped with a timber lintel at the front and an elliptical brick arch at the rear. The barn includes three tiers of decorative vents and three shippon doors on the left return, all of which are now blocked and have segmental-arched heads. Additionally, there is an owl hole in the gable, and the interior features two king post roof trusses with inclined struts.
