Description

This is a barn built in the late 18th century, constructed of English garden wall bond brick and topped with a slate roof. The barn features opposed central doors that lead to a loft over the threshing floor, with a shippon located to the left and a stable wing at the rear right. There is a slightly off-centre winnowing door with a segmental brick arch, three rows of diamond-shaped honeycomb breathers, and two pitching doors. A cart entry is located on the opposite side, along with a shippon door on the left gable and a pitching door above it. Inside, the barn retains all of its original timber shippon stalls and has king-post roof trusses. This building is included for its group value.
