Description

This milepost, located beside the railings of Ardwick Park in Manchester, dates from the late 18th century. It is a roughly dressed monolith with a rounded top. The south face of the milepost is inscribed with the distances: "11 Miles to Wilmslow" and "1 Mile to Manchester."
