Bollard Milepost: c1820. Cast-iron. Cylindrical head on a. narrower culindrical post. Head has 3-panels, the south face reading MACCL 2 3/4 MILES and the north-east face reading BUXTON 9 MILES.

One of 6 similar mileposts on Buxton New Road turnpike of 1821 in Rainow and Macclesfield Forest (q.v.).
